Beautiful Utah
Mouth wide open
I almost wanted to quit everything and become a geologist while I was in Utah. The rock formations, canyons, sandstone arches, and other features caused by water, wind, and the effects of time and weather, are breathtaking, both from afar and close-up. It’s obvious why the National Parks and campgrounds in Utah are so popular (and often, overcrowded). It’s also very difficult to choose which parks to visit. This time, since our road trip trajectory was taking us SW, we chose Arches and Canyonlands.

We decided to glamp in the Needles region of the Canyonlands and it was my best night’s sleep on our 12 night road trip. A queen sized bed with soft sheets and a warm blanket, with pillows, rugs, and even a table! I almost hate to even give away this amazing location, but I want Amber and Caleb to continue running it for a long time, as they are doing a wonderful job making improvements, hauling in water 1,000 gallons at a time, and using solar power to run the store and bathhouses on-site off-grid. Had it not been 98 degrees during the day, I would have wanted to stay here for an entire week.
